Dr. Andrew D. 　　Dr. Andrew D. Seidman is an Associate Attending for the Breast Cancer Medicine Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and an Associate Professor of Medicine, Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He received his medical school training in Philadelphia at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine and a residency in Internal Medicine at The Pennsylvania Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at MSKCC. Dr. Seidman is the recipient of a Career Development Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) for his clinical research evaluating the role of the taxanes in breast cancer treatment. Dr. Seidman has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, reviews and chapters, and serves on the editorial boards of several leading journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Clinical Breast Cancer. He has lectured on breast cancer topics at innumerable national and international conferences. Dr. Seidman is a Cadre Member and Principal Investigator for the Cancer and Leukemia Group B Breast Committee.He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research, has served on the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program Integration Panel, and as a Section Chairperson for review of breast cancer research grant applications for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Dr. Seidman is a Past President of the American Society of Breast Disease (1999-2001).His major present focus is on translational clinical trials and correlative science in the management of metastatic breast cancer.
